In Chiclana we have an excellent beach, La Barrosa; a family beach, wide and very long, of clean waters and fine golden sand.

It has all kinds of services and access walkways to the beach in the steepest area.. Dispose of Blue flag. It presents its maximum occupancy during the summer holidays, mainly in the months of July and August, due in part to the large supply of accommodation of apartments and chalets for rent in Chiclana by individuals and the numerous hotels and resorts existing in the area of New Saints – Petri.

We can differentiate three zones on the beach of La Barrosa:

– The Sancti Petri area. It is the closest area to the Castle of Sancti Petri and its marina. In this area the beach is steeper and there are cliffs. Only the bathroom is possible at the beginning, in front of the castle. When there is low tide you can walk under the cliffs.

In this area there are excellent urbanizations and houses in the middle of the pine forest.

– the 1st track, 2th track and 3rd track.

It is the most commercial area and has many bars, restaurants, stores, etc. The beach in this area is more crowded.

The 1st track is at the beginning of the beach, and arrives at the Red Cross post.

The 2nd track reaches the Atlántico Complex Urbanization.

The 3rd track reaches the public pine forest.

These last two tracks are preferred by many.
